You have come to the perfect spot if you want to learn all there is to know about the Apple iPhone. Apple’s bewildering assortment of alternatives makes choosing a suitable device more difficult.

If you don’t want the newest iPhones, choose from the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, or iPhone SE. These are the cheapest iPhones available (2022). To go for the trade-in iPhone option, you will need to learn about these devices.

We will break down each option so you can better decide where your money is best served.

How Does Having an iPhone Benefit You?

As an example of a famous smartphone brand, Apple’s iPhones can be purchased today. Previous iPhones were just meant to communicate, but later versions could do various things. For example, having video conferences, running PowerPoint presentations, and more.

1. Apple Ecosystem

If you already use other Apple products, like a MacBook, an Apple Watch, or an iPad, then an iPhone is your best option. It’s easy and simple to link many Apple gadgets together. This is an excellent option if you often transport material from your phone to your computer or vice versa.

You can save your budget by choosing to buy used iPhone 11 right now. Many sellers sell their almost intact iPhones just to get their hands on the new versions. It is because the trade-in iPhone trend has become the new norm. You can take advantage of this trend and experience all the lucrative benefits of the iPhone.

Apple’s iOS and macOS allow you to start a movie on your phone and finish it on your computer.

2. iCloud

Apple’s iCloud is a cloud-based storage service. Any new files or photographs you take will be uploaded to the cloud if your device is lost or stolen.

And you can get to it from any location, so long as you have an email address and access to the internet. Cloud-based backup is handy since it removes the need for a flash drive.

3. FaceTime

FaceTime uses the iPhone’s front-facing camera to make HD video calls to other iPhones. Before the iPhone 5, FaceTime video chats were only available via Wi-Fi. This particular feature is a pleasant and personal way to stay in touch with family, friends, and clients.

4. User-Friendly Interface

The iPhone’s user interface is simple, and Apple’s consistency makes using its products easy. When using an iPhone, you may be sure that the app or function is executed just as Apple intended. Android has more choices and flexibility but is more complex.

5. Improved Processor Speed

Let’s compare the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra to the iPhone X, which is nearly five years old. When comparing single-core scores, the iPhone is on par with Samsung.

Experts predict that the iPhone’s processing power will always be ahead of Android’s. A single-core geek bench score of 1337 places the iPhone 432 ahead of the S20. It shows that iPhones have faster CPUs than competitors.

6. The iPhone’s Other Privileges

Apple Pay, Apple CarPlay, FaceTime, iMessage, and more are available to iPhone users. Once you find out how to trade-in your iPhone, you will be able to grab a new iPhone and experience the amazing features simply.

Best iPhone to Buy Now

1. Apple iPhone 11

Apple still provides the iPhone 11 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) for people on a budget. The A13 Bionic’s main and wide-angle cameras provide excellent images. Night mode captures better low-light scenes than prior iPhones.

2. Apple iPhone 12

The iPhone 12, with its OLED screen, is the best choice for most people this year. Its 6.1-inch screen boasts twice as many pixels as the iPhone 12 Pro, making movies and TV clearer and more detailed.

As noted by reviewer Lauren Goode, the A14 processor makes the phone respond quicker. Ultrawide lenses capture panoramic perspectives, while Night mode improves low-light photos.

3. Apple iPhone 12 Mini

This is Apple’s tiniest phone, great for folks who hate big phones. The iPhone 12 Mini (8/10, WIRED Recommends) has the same Face ID, OLED, 5G, dual cameras, wireless charging, and speedy A14 CPU as the iPhone 12.

Some tasks, including watching a movie or typing, may seem cramped. When combined with other displays, this one may help you put down your phone more often. The drawbacks? The battery life is not that great and the speakers provide a bit of sound.

4. Apple iPhone 13 Mini

Since Apple didn’t release an iPhone 14 mini, the iPhone 13 mini is the latest smallest iPhone right now. It’s flat, composed of aluminum, and IP68 protected against dust and water.

The iPhone 12’s dual cameras have been adjusted, and the 5.4-inch screen’s notch has been minimized. Front and rear cameras include Night mode, Photographic styles, and sensor-shift image stabilization. What’s more, Face ID replaces Touch ID.

The iPhone 13 mini boasts Apple’s most cutting-edge features in a small, lightweight phone.

5. Apple iPhone 13

The Apple iPhone 13 has the same design, functionality, and specifications as the iPhone 13 mini. This device features rounded edges and an IP68-rated aluminum body, like the mini.

Unlike the mini, the iPhone 13 boasts a larger 6.1-inch screen display. With the Face ID and a 12-megapixel front camera with Night mode are still present.

The iPhone 13 has the same A15 Bionic CPU, dual-lens camera, and 2.5-hour greater battery life as the iPhone 12.

6. iPhone 14 Pro Max

The newest iPhone has a better camera, longer battery life, increased speed and performance, brand new features, and no notch.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max replaced the iPhone 13 Pro Max as Apple’s flagship phone. It boasts the same 6.7-inch 120Hz display as its predecessor, but it’s always on and uses less energy.

Dynamic Island, a bezel-less display element, interacts with iOS 16 to customize functionality. Apple’s A16 Bionic boasts class-leading performance and more battery efficiency than its predecessor. But it’s exclusively in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

The new triple camera array has a 48MP quad-pixel lead sensor and 2x lossless optical zoom without a third lens.

7. iPhone 14 Pro

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is fantastic, but the starting price of $1,099 may be too much for some consumers. iPhone 14 Pro provides the same features for $100 cheaper on the price tag.

The A16 Bionic processor is included, as is a better 48-megapixel primary camera. If you are acquainted with the iPhone X, you know that the notch has been replaced with “Dynamic Island”. It has Face ID sensors and an upgraded front camera and will gain functionality as developers add to it.

In addition to those who desire a smaller phone than the iPhone 14 Pro Max offers, the iPhone 14 Pro is a great option. The iPhone 14 Pro’s 6.1-inch display is dynamically updated at 1Hz, enabling users an always-on display.

8. iPhone 14

Even though the iPhone 14 lacks the more spectacular capabilities of its Pro brethren, it’s still a desirable upgrade. The notch returns, and the iPhone 14 uses the older A15 instead of the more recent A16. The iPhone 14’s A15 has an extra GPU core, making it better than the iPhone 13’s.

The iPhone 14 camera is substantially more advanced than the iPhone 14 Pro. The main camera’s bigger sensor and pixels improve low-light performance. Apple’s new Photonic Engine, included in the enhancements, also improves picture quality.

iPhone 14 owners may utilize “Action mode” for better video capturing. And the new phone will incorporate accident detection and Emergency SOS via satellite later this fall. That’s all packed into a product that has remained one of the most reasonably priced flagships at $799.

Conclusion

Apple updates iPhones faster and more reliably than Android phones. While we prefer the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13, any of the phones above would do. Now, those on a budget can always choose to buy a used iPhone of suitable condition.
